NEW--FINGER LABYRINTHS...please check out the Liturgical Arts page...

Colleen Kwong is an artist whose pottery, watercolor paintings and jewelry reflect her connection with the natural world, especially the birds, wildflowers, and landscapes of the Midwest.   Her work has been collected by individuals across the U.S. and is present in several homes in international settings.  Colleen is also an ordained minister who has served as a pastor to congregations in rural Wisconsin and  currently as a hospice chaplain.  The liturgical artwork is offered as a ministry of the arts, to be of service to all people through  churches, pastors, home visitors, and all those who seek an expression of the experience of God's presence.

Commissioned by the Wisconsin Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, 2010 and 2011, to create gifts for pastors and deacons, who were ordained, licensed, or commissioned, to be used in their ministry.
WE had fun painting "en plein air" (outdoors) at the Second Annual Domes Art Festival  in Milwaukee!  As a bonus, my watercolor painting "Geodesic Flowers" won "Best in Show" in the Plein Air competition in 2010, so the posters for this year's show features this painting!  You can see it (sold) on my Watercolor page in this website.

September 30, 2011, I led a retreat at Cedar Valley retreat center near West Bend, Wisconsin in a day called "Fingerprints on Your Soul--God is the Potter, You are the Clay" based on the Jeremiah scripture.  We discussed the power of creativity, God's presence, and played with clay while I threw pots on the wheel.  It was a satisfying and delightful day!

Thank you for visiting us at the United Church of Christ Conference at Green Lake, Wisconsin

and the United Methodist Church--Wisconsin Annual Conference in Wisconsin Dells this past June.

I enjoyed meeting each of you, and delight in knowing that the pottery and jewelry has been sent out in ministry to the world!
